Above and below right - Robert William Watson 1858 - 1945 born in Ludham and his second wife Pamela Sarah Rice 1876 - 1939 born in Great Yarmouth. The 1901 census has Robert, Pamela and family living and working on Crome's Farm.


Right - Charles John Watson 1887 - 1967 born in Ludham, Robert's son by his first wife Harriet Rice.


Below - Leslie William Watson 1897 - 1971 born Ludham and his wife Mildred Martha Goodwin 1900 - 1980 born in Great Yarmouth. Leslie was Robert & Pamela's son.

Photo above - Leslie on his tractor Fritton Farm. When Leslie retired he and his wife move in a bungalow in Fritton Road, Ludham called "Tanga" where they lived until they both died.

Watson and Skillern Families

In 1926, the Skillern Family moved to Ludham from South Wales looking for work. Helen Willoughby Skillen nee Riches was originally from Catfield and she came with her husband Fred and daughter Helen. Fred Skillern worked for Fred Riches in his building business in Ludham. Helen jnr later married George Francis Watson in Ludham.
