Some odds and ends of information which you might find useful:
Robert William Ward, born 1867 in Shouldham, Norfolk and his wife Eva and children were living in Ludham in 1901. He was a grocer and was living on the High Street roughly where Throwers shop is now. We think that around this time, he became the manager of a temperance hotel which had formerly been the Spread Eagle pub. The Spread Eagle was on the same road a hundred yards away.
We cannot find any trace of him or his family on the 1911 census. We cannot find a death record. As none of them are mentioned, the most likely thing is that they were missed by the census.
