     Varley Family

The Varley family is a large one who lived in many places in the general area of Ludham many of them in the Flegg area. If you need information about the Flegg Varleys, take a look at our sister site, Flegg Island. Following an enquiry from Jess Varley in Canada, we became aware that several generations of Varleys were Blacksmiths in Ludham. Their forge was at the top of Staithe Road near the Manor Gates. Confusingy, all of these Ludham Varleys were called Benjamin.

Here is a Family Tree which should clarify the Ludham Benjamins and their connection to Jess Varley.
